Résumé

Discussion about the special properties of the Fe(źN)Fe platform will be the core of this communication which aims at giving a better understanding of the remarkable catalytic properties observed in this system. We have compared a reactivity of the system towards C-H, C-Cl and C-F bonds. The reactivity of aliphatic and aromatic compounds and electron-rich and electron-deficient substrates have been studied. Importance of supporting macrocyclic ligands and bridging atoms will be discussed and exemplified by comparison between electrochemical behavior and catalytic activity of novel ľ-oxo, ľ-nitrido, ľ-carbido diiron complexes. All these results together including careful analysis of reaction products and low temperature characterization of the active species provide a new insight to the mechanism of action of these emerging catalysts and lead to further improvement of the catalytic system.
