Abstract : Our research concerns computer supported learning. This paper deals with two approaches using computers to scaffold metacognition in learning situations. This is illustrated by two current PhD works, from cognitive science and from computer science. These two researches are based on grounds, either experimental or expertise-concerned. Our aim is to expose that unrefined, reconstructed or interpreted traces can scaffold metacognition.
