TerrAsia 2011 International Conference on earthen architecture in Asia
Abstract
This book contains 29 proceedings of the International Conference on Earthen Architecture in Asia, TerrAsia 2011 that was held in Mokpo, Republic of Korea, from October 11th to 14th, 2011, bringing together participants from 15 countries. 64 authors, professors, researchers, and professional addressed the state of research and study activities on immovable earthen cultural heritage, earth materials and earth construction techniques as well as the revival of earthen architecture in the Asian region, comparing it to the situation in other world regions.
Ces actes abordent la construction en terre en Asie. La première partie d'attache à l'histoire de l'architecture de terre en Asie: sites archéologiques et monuments historiques (Merv au Turkménistan, Ajina Tepa au Tadjikistan...), architecture vernaculaire et cultures constructives traditionnelles. Le deuxième thème aborde l'actualité de la construction en terre en Asie. Les intervenants offrent un panorama de la recherche fondamentale sur la matière, recherche et développement (R&D). En effet, des recherches ont lieu actuellement sur l'utilisation de micro-organisme, la chaux haute performance afin de renforcer les murs en terre, les outils pédagogiques pour sensibiliser le grand public et les enfants à la terre, la stabilisation, les normes, l'utilisation de fibres dans les constructions parasismiques, la construction à bas coût... Les actes présentent enfin des interventions sur le design architectural et le développement durable.
