Generalized Dahl's model and application to nonlinear mechanical components

A generalized modified Dahl model and its application on several applications are presented: belt-tensioner and hexapod actuator. The objective is to demonstrate that this restoring force model is efficient and easy to use and can advantageously replace rheological models. It is described by a first order differential equation coupled with equations of motion. The non linear response prediction requires an integration method in the time domain.
