Analytical models for fast analysis and synthesis of various printed antennas". Part in Antennas and Associate Systems for Mobile Satellite Communications

Résumé

Analytical models are presented in this paper allowing the analysis or the synthesis of the various basis shapes of printed microstrip antennas (fig 1and 2) i. e. rectangular, circular, annular and elliptical geometries of the radiating elements (fig 3). These works are developed for multilayer structures fed by a coaxial probe. It uses a variational defintion of the surface charge density to take into account the shape of the printed metallization. We show and discuss numerical and experimental results for different analysis and synthesis. A high level of agreement is observed with a very low computing time.
