La céramique en usage dans l'atelier de verrier de Roquefeuille (Pourrières, Var) : exemple d'un dépotoir domestique de la première moitié du XVIIIe siècle

Abstract : The glassware workshop of Roquefeuille in the department of Var, provided consequent material that witness of both craftsmen going and daily life in the sixteenth on to the eighteenth century. The ceramics described here, have been found in a domestic dump and can be dated on stratigraphy and material grounds, of the first half of the eighteenth century. Well preserved and important documentary evidences permitted to give a first shape of typology of glaze ware (for cooking, table and sanitary uses) in this period. The various clays and technics give evidence of the multiple sources fo supply in the vicinity (e.g. local workshop in the Huveaunne valley, the Vallauris, the Moustiers and the Uzège areas) and other distant ones, with the prevailing Ligurian imports. One must however note afew scarce exchanges with China and Turkey, that prove the importanttrade networks ofthis handicraft milieu seemingly isolated in a rural context.
