Stimulated Raman suppression under dual-frequency pumping in singlemode fibres
Résumé
Suppression of stimulated Raman scattering is demonstrated in a singlemode fibre by single polarised, dual-frequency pumping. The suppression mechanism, based on the spectral asymmetry of the Raman susceptibility, is most efficient when the frequency spacing between the pumps is 26 THz, twice the Raman shift.
