Energy Pumping in Acoustics: Analytical and Numerical Developments

Résumé

In this paper, vibratory energy exchanges in an acoustic media between a main system and a membrane namely Nonlinear Energy Sink (NES) is discussed. Multi-scale behaviors of the system at different time scales are detected and invariants of the system are captured. Quasi-periodic behavior of a system which can emerge from this nonlinear system under some special external forcing terms is shown and commented upon.
