Resolution of Nonlinear Magnetostatic Problems with a Volume Integral Method using the Magnetic Scalar Potential

Résumé

An integral method using the magnetic scalar potential to solve nonlinear magnetostatic problems is developed. In this method, the air is not meshed and the field computation is accurate. The computation method of the scalar potential created by the sources is presented. The resolution needs the building of full interation matrices which are computed with analytical formulae. That is why a modified fixed point scheme, where the interaction matrix must be built only once is developed for the nonlinear formulation. The results obtained are compared with the finite element method (FEM).
