Simulation and modeling of active products cooperation for active security system management

Résumé

This article presents an approach of modeling and simulation of the cooperation between products situated in a bounded space thus forming a system for which security assurance depends mainly on products interaction and mutual constraints. Products are transformed into active products equipped with sensor networks devices providing ambient communication and sensing capabilities. Such active products are able to monitor and to control the environmental security level in ambient intelligence context of a hazardous substances like in a warehouse. The proposed concept of active products is supported by a Petri Net modeling suite that allows the objects to interact each other in an autonomous, real time, transparent and intelligent way, without any human help. We introduce the term of active security in the industrial chemical storage sector, which is ruled directly by the active product regulated by a constrained security level. Petri Net modeling activity is conducted with the CPN-Tools software. We propose an Active product model and the associated cooperation mechanisms using ambient communication messaging. Implementation and simulation of these models is conducted with the Castalia-OMNET++ Tools language. Our simulation application offers relevant information about scalability impact and energy consumption estimation of our approach.
