Distribution of stored energy in finite elastoplasticity

In this presentation, we show how improvements in full-field measurement methods enabled us to observe the energy manifestations of elastoplastic transformations. Through imaging techniques, the distribution of stored energy due to the strain hardening was derived from the deformation energy rate and the heat source.
