Control design for over-actuated systems based on reliability indicators

Résumé

This paper interests to the redundancy management of the over-actuated control systems. A new approach to manage the actuator redundancy, for the control allocation compared to the LQ method is proposed based on the reliability analysis. The aim is to preserve the health of the actuators and the availability of the system. The desired efforts and the control inputs are distributed and generated properly in order to maintain the system performance and preserve the actuators with a high overall system reliability. The proposed approach is illustrated with a flight control application.
