Distributed Platform for Advanced Freight Transportation Systems

Abstract : This paper introduces a modelling and distributed simulation platform to be realized as a system of systems in the logistic domain. The presentation of the project context gives a sight onto the current progress of the research in the field of the networked enterprise modelling and in the implementation methods of information systems solutions, integrating the interoperability into the context of distributed enterprises. The convergence of skills in these domains allows handling the problem of networked heterogeneous logistic enterprises modelling and the implementation of distributed solution by a systematic methodology. The works engaged in MDA / MDI and the integrations of HLA found a working case in this logistic system. The solution proposed support the systematic consideration of the problems of interoperability, synchronization and confidentiality of information in logistic systems co-working in distributed networks. The final goal will be the development of the platform for logistic modelling and interoperable HLA compliant distributed simulation.
