2D Self-assembled supramolecular network on a Si(111)-B surface
Résumé
The adsorption of tailored molecules leads to the formation of a 2D large-scale (over 250x250 nm2) supramolecular network. The atomic resolution of the Si(111)-B substrate and the submolecular resolution of the organic network is obtained on the same STM images, showing that the organic adlayer is commensurable with the substrate. The organic network is stable from 100K to 400K. The organic self-assembly is chiral. The formation of two enantiomers is observed without preference.
