A LMI solution to the LQ problem for discrete-time singularly perturbed systems
Résumé
In this article, an alternative LMI solution for the linear quadratic optimal control design is proposed for the discrete-time systems in the singular perturbation form. This approach is particularly adapted for the case of high dimension systems. Moreover, it can be easily extended to the uncertain systems, under some assumptions. An example of practical application to the robust steering control of hot strip mill is presented.
