[Ultrastructural aspects of collagen]

Collagen knowledge is relevant to the combination of three technologies: biochemistry, crystallography and ultra-structural studies. Its fibrillar nature has been early recognised by electron microscopy. The author presents the various ultra-structural aspects of collagen according to the various known types.
