Reactions in catalytic wall reactors. Coatings of stainless steel plates by VOx/TiO2 and Co/SiO2 catalysts.

Résumé

The coating of metallic stainless-steel plates by thin layers of active phase is presented in two cases, VOx/TiO2 and Co/SiO2 catalysts used in the oxidative dehydrogenation of propane and in Fischer-Tropsch synthesis of fuels, respectively. The preparation of coated plates and their characterization by various methods of analysis (particularly XPS) are described. Both chemical (sol-gel and suspension or aerosol) and physicochemical (plasma-assisted chemical vapor deposition) methods were used for coating after an adapted pre-treatment of the plates. The catalytic properties of plates in the respective reactions were carried out in special plate reactors and compared with those of the corresponding catalytic powders
