Résumé

This paper deals with the design of an innovative guidance algorithm devoted to the hypersonic reentry guidance of a medium L/D vehicle. The suggested guidance scheme relies on differential flatness theory and classical PID controllers. In this way, the longitudinal model of the vehicle is dynamically inverted (NDI) to provide nominal control inputs profiles, the lateral guidance being ensured via a conventional roll reversal technique. PID controllers are added to the flat model in order to circumvent model uncertainties and parameters dispersions. The guidance algorithm is then assessed by performing Monte Carlo simulations using a 5 dof nonlinear simulation tool designed by EADS ST.
