Estimation robuste de l'orientation locale par l'opérateur IRON

Abstract : This paper focuses on local orientation estimation at any point of a directional texture. We propose a new orientation estimation operator dedicated to the robust orientation estimation of a directional texture perturbed by an additive noise. We achieve a local orientation estimation which is more accurate and less noise sensitive than classical orientation estimation operators. We show results on both synthetic textures and natural image
