On the formation of crack networks in high cycle fatigue

Abstract : A probabilistic model based on an initial distribution of sites is proposed to describe different aspects of the formation, propagation and coalescence of crack networks in thermomechanical fatigue. The interaction between cracks is modeled by considering shielding effects.
