Make our Scientific Datasets Accessible and Interoperable on the Web

Abstract : How to publish our scientific datasets on the web and make them interoperable, using technologies from the Semantic Web. This presentation shortly reminds the needs and incentives for publishing scientific datasets on the web, with a focus on both the metadata and data content. It first goes through a presentation of the Web of Data and the Semantic Web. Then, it presents the questions related to the create and reuse of link vocabularies, on existing state-of-the-art techniques to populate the Web of Data, and more generally on the question of publishing Linked Open Data on the Web.
