Two-proton radioactivity - A tool for nuclear structure
Résumé
Two-proton radioactivity was discovered a few years ago. Since then two to three nuclei, 45Fe, 54Zn and most likely 48Ni, have been observed to exhibit this new decay mode. A comparison with theoretical models demonstrates that already at this early stage of two-proton radioactivity studies reasonable agreement between experiment and theory is reached. New experiments allowed to observe directly the two protons emitted.
