Description et phylogénie de quatre espèces nouvelles de Dyscolus du Costa Rica (Coleoptera, Carabidae, Platynini)
Résumé
Four new species of the genus Dyscolus Dejean, 1831, are described from montane forests of Costa Rica (Cordillera Central): D. amethystinus n. sp., D. bousqueti n. sp., D. costaricensis n. sp., and D. jimenezi n. sp. They form a monophyletic group of species, characterized mostly by their medium to large size, sphodroid shape, blue-violet luster on dorsal surface, very long mandibles, trilobed labrum, and distally widened ninth interval of elytra. Some remarks about the phylogeny and the distribution pattern of this species group in Mesoamerica are also presented.
