Finding Better Weight Functions for Generalized Shepard's Operator on Infinite Intervals

We investigate the difference of Shepard's generalized operators Sσ from the approximated set of data for variuos weight functions σ, thus we give bounds for the sizes of the "waves" shown in Fig.1. and propose the best weight function σ for practical use
