1.5µm PHASE SHIFTED DISTRIBUTED FEEDBACK LASER

We present the design, technology and lasing properties of phase-shifted distributed feed back lasers. The use of a non-uniform width stripe leads to a higher percentage of single-longitudinal-mode operation.
