Résumé

This paper presents all experimental results presently available on the magnetic predissociation of the B state of I2. These results are analysed according to the theory of this predissociation. The values of the parameters of the magnetic, natural, and hyperfine predissociation, and of the radiative decay rate are deduced from the experiments. The vibrational and rotational dependence of these parameters are measured and compared with theory. Experimental and theoretical knowledge of the I2 B state predissociation, summarized here, now seems rather complete.
