A Game to Play and a Game Played: A Devolution "Under Influences"

Résumé

This chapter aims to question the devolution of games, considering this devolution under influences and, in this case, that of the subject-third party educator. The reflection proposed presents a situation with a game to devolve: theque , a game similar to baseball. After a few theoretical elements, the chapter shows how this situation to be devolved is different from the situation actually devolved, and aims to understand this difference. The title refers to devolution under influence. The chapter therefore shows how this devolution is placed under influence. Before going further in the theoretical reflection and identifying the stakes of game devolution, it presents the game situation proposed to the children. The analysis of Jules' speeches allows us to understand the weight of his already decisive role in the devolution of the game.
