La migration du champ de la littératie en didactique du français : un nouvel espace conceptuel ?

Literacy research – “littératie” in French - has had a great impact since the 1980s. The term literacy has also become widely used in the institutional and political spheres to assess students’ reading and writing skills. This paper examines the migration from the field of literacy to that of research in French teaching. The first part presents what can be understand when talking about literacy from an institutional or research perspective. The second deals with the way in which researchers have discussed these topics. It based on the study of a corpus of French scientific journals whose thematic folder has focused on literacy between 2002 and 2017. A last, more prospective, considers its euristic added value in order to renew the point of view on the teaching of French by opening up new areas of intradisciplinary

L'usage du terme de littératie s'est également largement répandu dans les sphères institutionnelles et politiques pour évaluer les compétences des élèves en lecture et en écriture. Cet article s'intéresse à la migration du champ de la littératie à celui des recherches en didactique du français. Une première partie présente ce que l'on peut entendre lorsque l'on parle de littératie d'un point de vue institutionnel ou de celui de la recherche. La deuxième aborde la façon dont les chercheurs s'en sont emparés à partir de l'étude d'un corpus de revues scientifiques françaises dont la thématique a porté sur la littératie entre 2002 et 2017. Une dernière partie, plus prospective, envisage sa plus-value euristique pour renouveler le point de vue sur la didactique du français en ouvrant de nouveaux lieux d'intervention didactique.
