Die Rolle der Frauen und Männer in der Sozialdemokratischen Partei in der DDR (SDP/SPD-ost)

Der Beitrag befasst sich mit der Frage, wie die Sozialdemokratische Partei in der DDR (SDP/SPD-ost) im Rahmen der sich schnell wandelnden Machtverhältnisse in der Partei und in der DDR die Rollenverteilung von Mann und Frau definierte, programmatisch für die Gleichberechtigung eintrat und sie auch intern praktizierte. Das Augenmerk liegt dabei auf der prägenden Wirkung der Sozialisation in beiden deutschen Staaten auf das Selbst- und Fremdbild in Bezug auf die reale und angestrebte Stellung beider Geschlechter. Paradigmatisch dafür steht die Aushandlung der Regelung des Schwangerschaftsabbruchs, da in dieser Frage die Konfliktlinien zwischen Mann und Frau deutlicher zum Tragen kamen als jene zwischen ost- und westdeutschen SozialdemokratInnen.
The article deals with the question of how the Social Democratic Party in the GDR (SDP/SPD-east) defined the distribution of roles of men and women, how it advocated equal rights programmatically and also implemented them internally in the context of the rapidly shifting power relations both in the party and in the GDR. The emphasis lies on the importance of the socialisation in both German states, for representations of self and of the other side influenced the perceptions of the role which women and men do and should play in society. The article focuses particularly on the negotiations of the regulation of abortion, as the lines of conflict between men and women seem more evident in this question than those between East and West German social democrats.
L'article s’intéresse à la question de savoir quels rôles le Parti social-démocrate en RDA (SDP/SPD-est) a assigné aux femmes et aux hommes, en quoi il a défendu l'égalité sur le plan programmatique et l'a également pratiquée en interne dans le contexte de la rapide évolution des rapports de force au sein du parti et en RDA. L'accent est mis sur la prégnance de la socialisation de part et d’autre du Mur, tant il est vrai que les représentations de soi et de l’autre ont influé sur la perception sociale-démocrate de la place qu’occupent et doivent occuper les femmes et des hommes. Les négociations autour de la réglementation de l'avortement font l’objet d’une attention particulière car sur cet enjeu, les lignes de fractures entre femmes et hommes semblent plus nettes qu’entre sociaux-démocrates est-allemands et ouest-allemands.
