Des villes moyennes prises en étau ? Attractivité résidentielle, concurrences territoriales et stratégies d'action publique

Abstract : Facing what they perceive as a double threat to their territory – peri-urbanisation and metropolisation – medium-sized cities local actors develop strategies of residential attractiveness valorising their position of intersection. Both the attraction of metropolitan households and the containment of peri-urbanisation are sought through policies to transform the living environment and the housing stock. These policies, designed in a context of territorial competition, will be questioned in the city centres, in the light of the implementation of the Action Cœur de Ville programme.
