Résumé
This contribution aims to investigate the place occupied by the troubadours in the defence and illustration of a progressively minority language. The investigation, which is not intended to be exhaustive, is concerned with the creation of the myth of the troubadour Jaufré Rudel by Uc de Saint Circ, Jean de Nostredame, Heine and Mistral. Rudèl thus becomes the embodiment in turn of heroic love for a thirteenth-century Italian audience, of the ancient splendours of a Provençal nobility in search of a new identity during the Renaissance, of German Romanticism and of Mistralian illusion in the nineteenth century.
Cette contribution souhaite enquêter sur la place occupée par les troubadours dans la défense et l’illustration d’une langue progressivement minorisée. L’enquête menée sans prétention d’exhaustivité, a pour objet la création du mythe du troubadour Jaufré Rudel par Uc de Saint Circ, Jean de Nostredame, Heine et Mistral. Rudèl devient ainsi l’incarnation tour à tour de l’amour héroïque à l’intention d’un public italien du XIIIe siècle, des anciens fastes d’une noblesse provençale à la recherche d’une nouvelle identité à la Renaissance, du Romantisme allemand et de l’illusion mistralienne au XIXe siècle.
