Historical European telecommunications operators have faced deep changes since the nineties. These changes are mainly the result of stimuli coming from their environment in terms of law regulation, technological innovation and organizational restructuring. Our European comparative study shows a strong dependency of HRM systems from technological and organizational pressures. The question that we would like to study is the possible autonomy of Human Resources Management in such a context.
