"Le Vin comme monument dans la culture étrusque"

Abstract : Wondering about the memory of Etruscan wine is as much about wondering what traces of the latter have come down to us as it is about trying to shed light on certain winemaking practices that make wine an instrument of memory. Omnipresent within ritualized practices, wine seems to have acquired, in the Etruscan culture, a memorial dimension, in the sense that it participates in a construction of memory in a funerary context. It is on this elaboration that we would like to return in these lines, which goes as far as making wine a monument.
