DC-bus voltage control for multi-sources systems - Battery and Supercapacitors

Résumé

This paper deals the Battery-Supercapacitors energy management for Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEV) applications. This idea is due to the present trend in the HEV applications, knowing that the major drawback in these last is the energetic autonomy problems. In this context, using Battery-Supercapacitors with a good strategy for embedded energy management is a promising solution to improve the system's performances. The main contribution of this paper is focused on DC-bus voltage and currents control based on the polynomial controller. The experimental control strategy is implemented in PIC18F4431 microcontroller for energy management through DC/DC converters. Through some simulations and experimental results obtained in reduced scale, the authors present an improved energy management strategy for HEV applications.
