L’école des femmes-écrivains du dernier tiers du XIXe siècle

Abstract : Through the examination of three individual careers (Daniel Lesueur, Gyp, Thérèse Bentzon), who are considered to be representative of the last thirty years of the nineteenth century, this article attempts to establish the extent to which the offices of the written press (major daily newspapers, the satirical press, scholarly journals) may have served as a school for the female writers of the Third Republic, who were for a long time excluded from higher education.
