Exiled in Hanover since the end of 2015, the Syrian poet Mohamad Alaaedin Abdul Moula dedicates a collection of poems in Arabic to the German thinker Hannah Arendt. Witnesses to the encounter he imagines with her, the poems are haunted by the voice of the philosopher and a dialogue, unreal and real at the same time, engages with the «poetic ghost» of Hannah Arendt. This paper attempts, through the analysis of a selection of poems, to identify such an absent presence and the way in which the exchange with it can take place. Relying on the common points which he notes between the thinker and himself – notably the flight from a totalitarian regime, the experience of exile, the city of Hanover – the poet superimposes eras, playing with their intermingling to transcend his own reality and seek to understand. The community of thought constantly suggested by the poetic self feeds on common experiences and reflections and, through a dialogue with this voice from the past and from death, calls for a text still to come.
Exilé à Hanovre depuis fin 2015, le poète syrien Mohamad Alaaedin Abdul Moula consacre et dédie un recueil de poèmes en langue arabe à la penseuse allemande Hannah Arendt. Témoins de la rencontre qu'il imagine avec elle, les poèmes sont hantés par la voix de la philosophe et un dialogue, irréel et véritable à la fois, s'engage avec le «fantôme poétique» de Hannah Arendt. Cet article tente, à partir de l'analyse d'un choix de poèmes, de cerner une telle présence absente et la manière dont l'échange avec celle-ci peut avoir lieu. S'appuyant sur les points communs qu'il relève entre la penseuse et lui-même – notamment la fuite d'un régime totalitaire, l'expérience de l'exil, la ville de Hanovre –, le poète superpose les époques, se joue de leurs entremêlements pour transcender sa propre réalité et chercher à comprendre. La communauté de pensée suggérée sans cesse par le Moi poétique se nourrit d'expériences et de réflexions communes et appelle, à travers le dialogue avec cette voix venue du passé et de la mort, un texte encore à venir.
