Cloud computing is an emerging service and computing platform and it has taken commercial computing by storm. Through web services, the cloud computing platform provides easy access to the organization's storage infrastructure and high-performance computing. Cloud computing is also an emerging business paradigm. Cloud computing provides the facility of huge scalability, high performance, reliability at very low cost compared to the dedicated storage systems. This article provides an introduction to cloud computing and cloud storage and different deployment modules. The general architecture of the cloud storage is also discussed along with its advantages and disadvantages for the organizations.

Le cloud computing est une plate-forme informatique et de services émergente qui a pris d'assaut l'informatique commerciale. Grâce aux services Web, la plate-forme de cloud computing fournit un accès facile à l'infrastructure de stockage de l'organisation et à l'informatique haute performance. Le cloud computing est également un paradigme commercial émergent. Le cloud computing offre la possibilité d'une évolutivité énorme, de hautes performances, d'une fiabilité à très faible coût par rapport aux systèmes de stockage dédiés. Cet article fournit une introduction au cloud computing et au stockage cloud et aux différents modules de déploiement. L'architecture générale du stockage cloud est également discutée ainsi que ses avantages et inconvénients pour les organisations.
