Modeling and control of hydrosystems
Modélisation et contrôle des hydrosystèmes
Résumé
This book focuses on advanced methods for the control of open channel hydraulic systems such as rivers, canals or sewer systems. We develop a frequency domain approach that sheds a new light on the considered problem compared to the usual approach based on time domain simulations. The numerous tools developed by control engineers based on the frequency domain approach can be very illustrative for the problem of controlling open channel flow. The book focuses mainly on the control of irrigation canals, but a chapter also considers the modeling and control of regulated rivers, which can be treated using the tools developed in the book.
