Abstract : Despite its positive effects on personal development and quality of life, flow is amoral (Nakamura & Csikszentmihalyi, 2002): "Like any source of energy, from fire to nuclear fission, it [flow] can serve positive as well as destructive purposes. "(Csikszentmihalyi and Rathunde, 1993: 91). This communication is an occasion to present the results of a study concerning video games conducted by Fenouillet and his colleagues (cited by Heutte, Fenouillet & Vallerand, 2016) concerning flow and passion (obsessive vs. harmonious) for the game, as well as the level of anxiety and depression. It is also an opportunity to highlight some of the effects of flow generated via social networks or in MOOCs, in particular the peak of stupidity (Kruger & Dunning, 1999), linked to the illusion of having understood (ignorance of his ignorance).
