Le choix d'un MOOC, un processus influencé par l'organisation des cours en catalogues ?

Abstract : In this paper, we analyze registration data from the French MOOC platform France Université Numérique to interpret behaviors observed in individual courses, based on notions drawn from the webmarketing literature, such as the type of visit. Our interpretations are based on both surveys sent in a dozen of courses, and on the quantitative study of more than a million registrations from FUN. We explore various dimensions of users' behavior. We show that learners discover the courses they register to mostly by navigating on the platform catalog, a particular case called the experiential visit. Our results show that behaviors observed in an online course included in a catalogue can be influenced by the characteristics of the said catalogue
