The journey of vulnerable adolescents leaving the child protection system – Thinkings on the different forms of violence at stake and on alternatives for care

Abstract : If the transition to maturity is rendered difficult for many young people today in connection with many socio-anthropological, routes of adolescents accompanied by child protection make them even more vulnerable. As part of this paper, we focus on different sources of vulnerabilities in these older children as well as negative resonances can be put in place the institutions that support them. However, the paths out of these teenagers also seem linked to other sources of violence (lack of concerted work upstream with families of origin and destination, divisions and partitioning supported…) which often to potentiate within institutions. Given the heterogeneity of violence in the presence but also the practices and projects, we would begin thinking in two complementary directions. One is to identify elements responsible for these problems, the other to understand what makes the difficult articulation of supported between health institutions and those of society. It is also for us to deepen reflection on the accompaniments multifocal facing these vulnerable adolescents may articulate educational interventions and care giving to inter-institutional linkages in the inter-field health and welfare.
