In What make reindeers after Christmas? Olivia Rosenthal crosses a documentary on animals, from testimonies collected with professionals who work on the contact of animals and a bibliographic fiction: the story of a woman, her childhood in the adulthood, until she accepts her homosexuality. Such a complex weaving allows to approach most of the questions that settles the contemporary world on the animal kingdom, but especially, to question the savagery and the taming - of the human being as of the animals.
Dans Que font les rennes après Noël ?, Olivia Rosenthal entrecroise un documentaire sur les animaux, à partir de témoignages recueillis auprès de professionnels qui travaillent au contact des animaux et une fiction biographique : l’histoire d’une femme, de son enfance à l’âge adulte, jusqu’au moment où elle assume son homosexualité. Ce tissage complexe permet d’aborder la plupart des questions que se pose le monde contemporain sur le monde animal, mais surtout, d’interroger la sauvagerie et la domestication – de l’humain comme de l’animal.
