Donner sa langue aux lecteurs du Chat Noir

Abstract : Dialogism within artists takes a prominent place in the journal, motivated by the requirements of group cohesion, yet the lambda reader seems also invited to react, provoked, involved. So much so that the journal plays with the usual newspapers headings clichés, entertaining readers as much as it entertains itself : correspondence columns, classified ads, quiz competitions. These represent, on their scale, the space allowed to the reader’s voice in exchange for a rabbit. Indeed it aims to fill blank spaces reported within the pages. Our thesis is that the reader is used as an echo chamber of the specific vacuity which defines the foolish chatnoiresque humour.
