Eclipse based architecture of the EDONA platform for automotive system development

EDONA is a platform project started in 2007 in order to deliver the infrastructure for a seamless tool chain for the development of automotive embedded systems. The goal of this paper, a couple of months from the end of the project, is to explain how the initial goals have been extended, implemented, and secured by opening it and relying on external long-lived organizations.
