Le centre monumental romain d’Apollonia d’Illyrie : restitution d’un paysage urbain

Abstract : The roman monumental center of “Apollonia of Illyria” in Albania was the object of excavations supervised by a French archaeologist Léon Rey and finish by the Albanian teams. The monumental center is organized around two main public buildings, the Odeon and the bouleuterion. Others buildings prove commercial, religious and cultural functions. After an analysis of the various monuments, the hypothesis of reconstructions will be proposed. They will be assembled in a global vision of the roman monumental center at the beginning of the third century: a restitution of an urban landscape in fact.
