The history of mankind is a history of migration. The end of colonial empires, the economic and demographic crises and wars led to a phenomenon of migration that affect all continents. This book focuses on Germany, a state which opened its territory at the end of the summer 2015 to hundreds of thousands of refugees, and presents ten texts on theories and strategies that underlie the study of migration and on formerly colonized regions and the cultural construction of new identities at the very heart of Europe.
This project was initiated by 'Migration and borders', an axis of research of the ILCEA4 (Institute of languages and Cultures of Europe, America, Africa, Asia and Australia), a laboratory of the University Grenoble Alpes, co-led by François Genton et Susanne Berthier Foglar, respectively Director and Co-Director of the ILCEA4.
L’histoire de l’humanité est une histoire de migrations. La fin des empires coloniaux, les crises économiques et démographiques et les guerres ont engendré un phénomène de migrations qui concernent tous les continents. Prenant pour objet central l’Allemagne, qui a ouvert son territoire à la fin de l’été 2015 à des centaines de milliers de réfugiés, cet ouvrage présente dix textes sur les théories et les stratégies qui sous-tendent les migrations, puis s’intéresse aux régions anciennement colonisées et à la construction culturelle de nouvelles identités au cœur même de l’Europe.
Ce projet émane de l’axe de recherche« Migrations et frontières » de l’ILCEA4 (Institut des Langues et Cultures d'Europe, Amérique, Afrique, Asie et Australie), un laboratoire de l’Université Grenoble Alpes,codirigé par François Gentonet Susanne Berthier-Foglar, respectivement directeur et co-directrice de l’ILCEA4.
