DYNAMIQUE SPATIO-TEMPORELLE DE L’OCCUPATION DU SOL DANS LES SITES D’EXPLOITATION DE CALCAIRES AU SUD-EST DU TOGO

The Tabligbo limestone deposit exploitation sites in southeastern Togo are subject to important anthropogenic pressures related to mining. This study deals with the evolution of land cover and land use in this region and contributes to the characterization of the main spatial entities between 1958, 1986, 2002 and 2017. Mapping technics based on topographic map and Multi-dates satellite images analysis were used and supplemented by field verifications. The images underwent supervised classification by the maximum likelihood method. On the sites of exploitation, there was an increase in the area of agglomerations and bare soils, water bodies, crops and fallows, agroforests and plantations in favor of savannahs and forests. The maps produced show that the exploitation of the limestone contributes, a lot, to the different changes of soil occupation observed.

Les sites d’exploitation du gisement de calcaires de Tabligbo au Sud-Est du Togo sont soumis à de fortes pressions anthropiques suite à l’extraction minière. Cette étude traite de l’évolution de l’occupation et de l’utilisation du sol dans cette zone et contribue à la caractérisation des principales entités spatiales entre 1958, 1986, 2002 et 2017. Les techniques cartographiques basées sur les analyses de carte topographique et d’images satellites multidates ont été utilisées et complétées par des vérifications sur le terrain. Les images ont subi une classification supervisée par la méthode du maximum de vraisemblance. Il a été observé dans les sites d’exploitation une augmentation en superficie des agglomérations et sols nus, des plans d’eau, des cultures et jachères, des agroforêts et plantations au profit des savanes et des forêts. Les cartes réalisées montrent que l’exploitation des calcaires contribue beaucoup aux différents changements d’occupation de sol observés.
