Some elements regarding the relevance of using a fuzzy performance measurement framework for industrial visual management.
Résumé
his study focuses on some fuzzy proposals for expressing industrial performance under symbolic signs that can be,on the one hand,
easily understood by human operators as well by robots and, that can, on the other hand, identify the result of the handling of the industrial data that
may characterise the way of manufacturing 4.0. After a state of the art that briefly describes the works that have been proposed in the literature
in the industrial performance measurement field, we present the major ideas of the formal fuzzy framework that we have progressively defined
over the last twenty years. In particular, by handling both numerical and linguistic terms is shown via the Zadeh “ precisiation” concept, temporal
performances are described, on the basis of the qualification of temporal trajectories performances. Lastly, symbolic fuzzification of
conventional performance measurements ispresented, leading to the translation of the obtained results to emoticons and other symbols that is typic
al of the currently practiced visual management. Some concluding remarks are proposed, highlighting the potential use of the presented development to the context 4.0
