Evaluation du risque de nuisances liées au système d’assainissement. Application sur le territoire de Bordeaux Métropole
Résumé
Often perceived as mere annoyances, nuisances related to a dysfunction of the sewerage network appear as a real issue to deal with for managers and elected officials who want to improve the quality of services in urban areas. These nuisances are varied (odours, rodents, spillage etc.). And each nuisance can be explained by multiple causes (eg. blockage by leaves or roots, dirt, gravel, cement, etc. for nuisance overflow). Although nuisance do not appear as a dangerous problem as flooding, the numerous complaints registered can harm the image of the community. This communication proposes a new and comprehensive methodology for assessing the risk of nuisance in an area by addressing both the hazard and the vulnerability component part. This methodology is illustrated with the nuisance “overflows due to network failures”. This unique methodology will highlight risk areas proposed to locally relevant actions. The proposed method also aims to identify the causes of pollution in the area. This method can be applied by a community with sufficient data. It can also be used to implement data collection for future use.
