Towards an interpretative approach of artistic value: an exploratory study of indie music

Creative industries are currently facing technological and economic changes that reveal the need to keep challenging a concept as evolving as artistic value. The objective of this article is to propose to extend the concept of value in the field of marketing of the arts, particularly the concept of artistic value. Through the study of independent music I propose an interpretative approach to artistic value.

Les changements technologiques et économiques qui traversent les industries culturelles montrent la nécessité de remettre sans cesse en question un concept aussi changeant que celui de la valeur artistique. L'objectif de cet article est de proposer d'élargir le concept de valeur, et plus particulièrement celui de valeur artistique, en marketing de l'art et de la culture. A travers l'étude de la scène musicale indépendante, l'auteur propose une approche socio-compréhensive de la valeur artistique.
